An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong school-based expertise near Denver, CO. This pivotal role focuses on completing evaluations within an educational setting, supporting an elementary student at a charter school. Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) OT certification is required.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency (spoken and written) is essential to effectively communicate with students, families, and school staff.
- Experience with sensory and motor assessments, especially in pediatric or school-based settings.
- Demonstrated history of conducting thorough OT evaluations and documentation.
- Comfortable with both onsite and virtual service delivery (onsite availability strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with working in charter schools or K-12 environments is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations focused on sensory and motor concerns for elementary students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the interdisciplinary team to gather relevant information for assessments.
- Utilize culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools for bilingual Spanish-speaking students.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on evaluation findings.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in alignment with school and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed to share insights and support the student’s success.
