Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy
- Active OT license in Illinois
- Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, including participation in IEP meetings and development
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for fostering independence and functional skills in youth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct appropriate assessments and screenings to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records per educational and legal guidelines
- Participate as a member of the IEP team contributing OT expertise
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote student growth
- Deliver engaging direct therapy and consultative services in classroom and small group settings
