Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois
- Experience in any of the following: school-based OT, home health OT, healthcare OT, or delivering OT services via teletherapy
- Background in working with students with special needs, across developmental stages from early childhood through young adulthood
- Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills
- Clear and effective communication; ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to interview onsite is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver OT services in alignment with IEP goals within a self-contained SPED setting
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress
- Provide support and education for caregivers and school personnel to generalize therapy strategies
- Adapt to a flexible caseload (18-25 students), supporting a range of ages and abilities
