Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Experience or interest in working with K-12 students, including diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet varying student goals
- Commitment to fostering independence, participation, and well-being for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized OT plans for a varied K-12 caseload
- Deliver direct therapy services both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate OT goals into classroom activities
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide recommendations and strategies for classroom adaptations and accommodations
- Stay current on best practices for school-based occupational therapy
