Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license (required for onsite practice)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for a range of student needs across grades K-12
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting a diverse student population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school guidelines
- Assist with evaluations, progress monitoring, and reassessments to maintain compliance with state and federal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to develop and implement effective interventions
- Document therapy sessions, maintain accurate student records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute to professional learning and staff training as appropriate
