This contract-to-hire opportunity will allow you to make a direct impact, working collaboratively with educators and families to help young learners build the skills they need for academic and everyday success.
What you’ll bring:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience providing OT services in school, home health, or healthcare environments
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working within a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and pediatric therapy approaches
What you’ll do:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to an elementary caseload of approximately 24 students, five days per week
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions tailored to each child’s needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and maintain detailed progress documentation
- Educate and support families and school staff on OT strategies for classroom and home use
- Foster a positive, motivating environment to encourage student growth and independence
