Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Illinois (IL OT license)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong skills in evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized intervention plans
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ fine motor, sensory, or developmental needs within the school setting
- Develop, document, and implement appropriate, goal-driven interventions
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure therapy goals align with educational objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and progress updates with staff and families
- Maintain accurate and timely reports, session notes, and required documentation
