Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student growth in a vibrant educational setting near Douglasville, GA. As an Occupational Therapist working with a small, focused caseload of 5th and 6th grade students, you will play a key role in fostering functional skills and participation within the academic environment.
You’ll work directly with two students, providing individualized therapy sessions (30 minutes per week for each student) in line with IEP requirements, from now through late May 2026. This part-time, onsite position gives you the unique chance to collaborate closely with school staff, special education professionals, and families to help students thrive.
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Occupational Therapy license and GaPSC certification (both required)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Background supporting students with disabilities is a plus
- Clearance documentation required before starting
- Ability to provide onsite services exclusively (remote work is not an option)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services based on students’ IEPs
- Assess needs related to fine motor skills, sensory integration, and classroom participation
- Recommend accommodations, modifications, and strategies to enhance student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and monitor progress
- Collaborate frequently with teachers and school teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Uphold service delivery and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
