Make a meaningful impact by supporting the growth and success of two middle school students as an Occupational Therapist on a part-time, contract basis. This role focuses on delivering specialized OT services to 5th and 6th grade students, helping them thrive both in the classroom and throughout their educational journey. Services begin as soon as possible and continue through May 22, 2026, following a predictable weekly schedule that values your expertise and flexibility.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required)
- Previous experience in a school setting and with students with disabilities preferred
- Ability to provide direct, onsite services
- Up-to-date clearance documentation
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of occupational therapy per week to each student, as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess and address individual needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily classroom participation
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and other members of the school team to foster optimal support for your students
- Recommend practical accommodations and modifications to enhance students’ access to instruction
- Monitor and document student progress in alignment with all regulatory and school requirements
- Maintain open communication with school staff regarding students’ needs and ongoing development
