Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC certification (both required)
- Preference for candidates with prior school-based OT experience and a background working with students with disabilities
- Ability to provide documentation for required background clearance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Onsite services only
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of direct occupational therapy services weekly for each assigned student, in line with their IEPs
- Evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities in the context of their educational environment
- Collaborate with teachers, special education team members, and other professionals to support student success
- Recommend classroom strategies and accommodations to enhance student participation
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Participate in regular team meetings and communication regarding student needs and progress
- Ensure delivery of services adheres to established IEPs and compliance regulations
