Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in a pediatric, school-based, or healthcare occupational therapy setting
- Familiarity with providing OT services to elementary-aged (K-5) students
- Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Comfortable developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-5 students, targeting developmental and functional skill improvement
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs, documenting progress and updating goals as necessary
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with other school professionals and families
- Support students’ classroom participation and daily activities with adaptive strategies and therapeutic interventions
- Maintain comprehensive records of services provided and student progress
- Serve as a consultative resource for teachers and parents regarding student challenges and accommodations
