Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
- Experience providing OT services in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children (K-5)
- Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to participate in meetings and implement therapy as outlined
- Familiarity with both individual and group therapy approaches in an educational context
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student success
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of OT best practices in school-based environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for student occupational needs
- Deliver direct OT services to designated elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ participation and progress in the classroom
- Document therapy sessions, maintain required records, and contribute to progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and offer strategies to promote student independence and engagement
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on supporting students’ functional skills
