This full-time, onsite contract role spans from September 1, 2026, through January 15, 2027, and is based at a school near Elgin, IL. What we’re seeking:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license (COTAs are not accepted for this role)
- Previous experience providing OT services in school environments
- Strong understanding of high school student needs and interventions
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered practices
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, individualized OT services to high school students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to support student participation in the classroom and campus life
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of sessions, progress, and interventions
- Provide input and recommendations during IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families as appropriate
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive needs within the school environment
