Qualifications & Experience:
- Active OT licensure in the state of New Jersey
- Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, with knowledge of school-related therapies and documentation
- Experience with OT in home health settings is a plus
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support students’ educational goals
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted OT services to students under IEPs, focusing on sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
- Assess student needs, set achievable therapy goals, and track progress
- Equip teachers and caregivers with strategies to support students’ development in and outside the classroom
- Maintain detailed, timely records and participate in IEP meetings when required
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies related to school occupational therapy services
