This contract opportunity provides a blend of traditional in-person school-based therapy and the flexibility of itinerant services, including paid travel between locations. You'll serve on a collaborative team dedicated to helping students achieve their fullest potential within an inclusive, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Maryland
- Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare OT (school-based preferred)
- Experience with IEP documentation and participation in multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with teletherapy, home health, or a variety of OT settings is highly valued
- Comfortable working with students with diverse needs in specialized programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Not open to OT assistants (COTAs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students ages 6-21 in accordance with IEP goals
- Work within an itinerant model, offering therapy at multiple sites with paid travel
- Plan and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
- Document therapy sessions and progress in accordance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers on goal setting and progress monitoring
- Participate in annual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture
