Occupational Therapist School Setting in Euclid, OH
Make a real difference in the lives of students as a dedicated occupational therapist supporting learners aged 5 to 22. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators and families to help students achieve greater independence and academic success through thoughtful, personalized interventions.
You’ll provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in a school-based setting, working Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm, with the potential to add Friday hours as your caseload grows. Your expertise will help address challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation, ensuring every student has the support they need to reach their full potential.
What’s Needed to Succeed in this Role:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Current Ohio Department of Education (ODE) license required
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to work with a diverse age range and adapt interventions as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one and group OT services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Assess ongoing needs and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies
- Support students’ functional participation in academic and daily living activities
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and ensure compliance with all documentation
