Bring your expertise and compassion to support K-8 students as a part-time Occupational Therapist across two to three campuses in Lake County. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful way to make a direct impact, helping young learners develop essential skills for school and life. With a flexible 20-hour workweek (spread over two or three days), you’ll have the chance to collaborate with educators and families to foster an inclusive, supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois and registered with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Minimum of three years’ experience delivering occupational therapy services, including substantial experience within school settings
- Strong ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs across K-8 grade levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both with children and interdisciplinary education teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted OT services to K-8 students on two to three campuses in the North Chicago and Waukegan area
- Assess students’ individual needs, develop appropriate intervention plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into everyday classroom activities
- Support students’ access to curriculum and participation in school routines, addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill challenges
- Maintain detailed student documentation and comply with all state regulations for OT services
