School Occupational Therapist - Everett, Washington
Step into an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the 2025-2026 school year as an Occupational Therapist! This contract position is based near Everett, WA, and offers a dynamic work environment supporting students across either two schools (elementary and middle) or three schools (two smaller elementary and one middle). With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you'll collaborate with dedicated staff and benefit from strong support.
In this role, you’ll manage a workload typical of a caseload in the mid-50s, with a maximum of 60 students. Middle school students generally require less frequent sessions—most are seen just once or twice a month—allowing you to truly focus on student progress and quality care. Additionally, you’ll have a minimum of 1.5 days or more of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) support each week to help streamline your workflow.
Qualifications:
- Licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in Washington state
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing a moderate-to-large caseload
- Collaborative mindset for working with COTAs, teachers, and other support staff
- Adaptable communicator with organizational skills suited for multiple campuses
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered interventions
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring tailored to each student’s IEP
- Support students in elementary and middle school with a range of needs
- Consult with educators and families to optimize strategies and accommodations
- Document interventions and maintain compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Attend meetings, contribute insights to IEP documents, and collaborate in team environments
