Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and developmental needs
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, collaborative school environment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred for occupational therapy and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide both direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to tailor student supports
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful input
- Adapt therapy methods and materials to fit each child’s unique strengths and challenges
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students’ growth
