School Occupational Therapist | Forsyth, Georgia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in the greater Forsyth, GA area as a school-based Occupational Therapist. In this role, you'll use your expertise to shape students’ educational journeys and provide guidance to dedicated COTAs, ensuring high standards of care and meaningful progress across caseloads.
Your workday will center around collaborating with educators, developing tailored intervention plans, and fostering skill development crucial for student success in and out of the classroom. The anticipated assignment will begin August 3, 2026, and continue through May 28, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week across a standard school schedule.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Georgia
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Comfortable supervising and mentoring COTAs
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapeutic techniques and IEP process
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions for K-12 students
- Supervise and support the work of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to optimize student outcomes
- Complete thorough and timely documentation of student progress and goal attainment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Foster an inclusive and engaging therapy environment for diverse learners
