What we’re seeking:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with elementary-age children
- Strong understanding of IEPs, student evaluation, and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative teamwork with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized and group occupational therapy sessions for elementary school students
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance student participation and independence in school activities
- Completing assessments, progress reports, and supportive documentation in accordance with school standards
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to support goals outlined in each student’s IEP
- Providing training and resources for staff to incorporate therapeutic techniques within classroom environments
