You’ll spend two days per week (approximately 14 hours total), with hours from 7:45 am–3:15 pm and a 30-minute unpaid lunch, providing coverage at both Valparaiso and Portage locations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced OT or COTA who thrives in school environments and enjoys collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, valid for school settings
- Previous experience working in schools strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing student needs
- Committed, organized, and compassionate approach to student care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Implement therapeutic interventions designed to improve student participation and success in educational activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies
