Qualifications:
- Valid license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Arizona
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions according to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine their unique occupational therapy needs within the school context
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with educational staff
- Document assessments, progress notes, and interventions in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure integration of therapy strategies throughout the school day
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Educate staff and parents on ways to support students’ functional skills in the classroom and at home
