School Occupational Therapist - Golden, Colorado

This full-time or potentially part-time contract role provides the chance to collaborate with school teams and impact learners from various age groups and backgrounds. The assignment runs through May 2027, offering long-term stability and professional growth.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Colorado Occupational Therapy license (DORA registration not required)
- Previous experience supporting children or young adults in a school-based setting, preferred
- Willingness to work with a range of disabilities in a variety of school environments
- Ability to adapt supports to the workload/caseload model implemented districtwide
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility to serve across multiple sites and age groups as needs arise
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services according to students’ IEPs or Section 504 Plans
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual strengths and needs
- Support fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills to facilitate student success
- Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and family members
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting per district expectations
- Consult and coach staff on best practices for occupational therapy in the classroom setting
The contract schedule offers 37.5 hours per week but may consider part-time requests. Worksites are distributed in and near Golden and Evergreen. Caseload numbers fluctuate based on the district’s flexible workload model, ensuring fair distribution and opportunities to support a wide range of students.
