Exciting opportunities await for a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking a fulfilling contract role for the 2026–2027 school year! Located near the vibrant community of Goodyear, AZ, this full-time position (40 hours per week) begins August 3, 2027, serving either a preschool setting or a dynamic K-8 developmental program—both with a caseload of approximately 60 students. In addition, you’ll have the valuable support of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to supervise.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Active Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Experience within schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Commitment to creating positive outcomes for students with varying developmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized OT services to support student participation, motor skills, and functional independence
- Collaborate with educators, COTAs, and families to implement IEPs and therapy goals
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring quality and consistency of services
- Conduct evaluations and monitor student progress with accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to support a holistic approach to student development
