Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based OT highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, assessments, and individualized planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with diverse student populations, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions creatively and flexibly within classroom settings
- Strong organizational skills for documenting and managing caseloads efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy services, supporting students in achieving functional goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing expertise to IEP meetings and ongoing student progress discussions
- Provide training and consultation for school staff and families to foster supportive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
