Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings preferred, especially working with elementary and middle school populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy programs for students with a variety of needs
- Comfortable working onsite across several nearby schools during the week
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to approximately 45 students across multiple school sites
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and set meaningful goals
- Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies to enhance student participation in school activities
- Provide support for teacher training and classroom strategies as needed
- Travel between school sites as scheduled
