Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hemet, CA

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a school-based contract role, working with a diverse population near Hemet, CA. This opportunity is onsite only, with an immediate start and coverage needed through the end of the school year (anticipated end date: 6/4/2027), supporting a consistent caseload of approximately 80 students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active OT or COTA license in California
- Experience with school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and school documentation requirements
- Strong collaborative and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities: For COTA:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students at two elementary schools
- Adhere to treatment plans developed by supervising OT
- Document student progress and collaborate with other educational team members
- Work a schedule of 7.5 hours per day, including an unpaid lunch
For OT:
- Deliver occupational therapy services and supervise a COTA at one elementary site
- Develop individualized treatment plans and attend IEP meetings as needed
- Oversee COTA’s daily activities, ensuring high-quality care
- 8-hour workdays with an unpaid lunch
