This short-term contract is perfect for professionals seeking flexibility, allowing you to make an immediate and meaningful impact on students across grade levels. You’ll play a pivotal role delivering essential OT services, focusing on both reevaluations for various grade levels and PreK evaluations scheduled on Fridays. In addition, at least one dedicated day per week will be needed to complete IEPs and provide COTA supervision. After this initial one-to-two-month period, your expertise will still be valued with continued COTA supervision on a flat fee basis.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in Louisiana
- Experienced in school-based OT services, especially teletherapy
- Confident conducting student reevaluations and PreK assessments
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Capable of providing remote supervision to a COTA
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough OT reevaluations for students across grade levels
- Conduct PreK evaluations, primarily on Fridays
- Dedicate at least one weekly day to finalize and update IEPs
- Supervise a COTA, providing ongoing remote support and guidance
- Collaborate virtually with other educational professionals
- Maintain accurate reports and comply with all required documentation
