Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maryland, with experience in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable providing direct services (approximately 15-17 hours/week) and consultative support
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
- Experience assessing, planning, and implementing IEP goals for students with diverse needs
- Eagerness to work onsite and complete an in-person interview to ensure the best fit for school environment
- Commitment to a contract-to-permanent arrangement, open to transitioning into a long-term role
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students grades 8-12 (ages 13-21), addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and ongoing interdisciplinary team activities
- Utilize Wednesdays for documentation, meetings, and catching up on administrative responsibilities
- Engage fully in a year-round academic calendar, supporting continuity of care
