Occupational Therapist School Setting in Joliet, IL

What We’re Looking For:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience within a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and implement effective occupational therapy interventions for students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside educators, families, and specialists
- Familiarity with state and district-specific documentation and compliance standards
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to students' diverse and changing needs
- Passion for empowering students to reach their fullest potential
Role Overview:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of approximately 30 students
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skills in the educational setting
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and collaborate in IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with Illinois and district guidelines
- Offer training and resources to teachers and staff as needed to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom
