This engaging, contract opportunity offers a chance to work onsite for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, providing vital OT services to elementary, middle, and high school students with a wide range of disabilities, from mild to severe. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day, allowing you to make meaningful connections and lasting impacts.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with active Washington State certification
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcome
- Comfortable working with diverse disabilities and tailoring strategies to meet individual student needs
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic, school-based environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that meet IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to deliver holistic care and maximize student participation in school activities
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide consultation and training for staff to facilitate best OT practices in the classroom
- Support transition planning and help students build essential life skills
