Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kalama, WA
Exciting opportunity for a talented Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting student success! This onsite position spans elementary, middle, and high school levels, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact across a broad age and ability range. The contract covers the entire 2026-2027 academic year, allowing you to build rapport with students and staff while contributing your expertise in a vibrant school environment.
In this full-time role (Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day), you will work in partnership with educational teams to address a variety of student needs. Your professional skills will help students with disabilities ranging from mild to severe reach their fullest potential.
What we're seeking:
- Active Washington State OT certification
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy or a strong desire to work in school settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other related service providers
- Comfort and adaptability working with students in elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, student-centered approach
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a wide spectrum of disabilities
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to student IEPs
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt interventions to fit within diverse classroom settings and student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to foster student independence and participation
