- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong understanding of educational and therapeutic best practices for pediatric populations
- Familiarity with assessment tools and successful creation of IEP goals
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Ability to travel to multiple school sites within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate on IEP development
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and support staff to aid student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Adapt and modify activities or learning environments to support students’ participation
