School Occupational Therapist - Lakebay, Washington
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with expertise in school-based and occupational health settings. This contract position is based near scenic Lakebay, WA, and seeks a dedicated professional for 35 hours per week, beginning in mid-October. This in-person role is ideal for someone passionate about creating a positive impact on students’ developmental and functional abilities.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials in Washington State
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong foundation in occupational health, assessment, and intervention planning
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students, focusing on developing and improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance
- Conduct assessments and create individualized intervention plans tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ educational goals and maximize participation in school activities
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust therapeutic plans as required
- Contribute to IEP development and participate in team meetings as needed
