Qualifications:
- Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working in pediatric or school environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ needs in collaboration with teachers and other specialists
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Deliver therapy services individually and in small groups within the school environment
- Monitor student progress and regularly communicate findings and updates to educational teams and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Support access to curriculum and participation in school activities for students with IEPs or 504 plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
