- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and observations for eligibility and progress monitoring
- Compassion and creativity in adapting interventions and strategies for young learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy to children ages 3–5, addressing their educational and developmental needs
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations, using appropriate assessment tools to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Work closely with MDE/IEP teams to interpret assessment results and inform service decisions
- Develop, update, and track individualized IEP goals, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and student-centered
- Maintain detailed documentation on student progress, therapy sessions, and communication with staff and families
- Support teachers and educational staff by recommending accommodations and strategies to facilitate student success in the classroom
