You’ll work with a varied caseload of approximately 30-35 students ranging in ages and needs, applying best practices in school-based therapy to foster growth and participation in the classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations or within school settings
- Proficiency with the IEP process, including developing goals and documenting progress
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy standards, assessments, and reporting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across K-12 in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized goals and interventions for student progress
- Maintain accurate records, including progress notes and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Monitor and adjust therapy plans to ensure students are making measurable progress
This position follows the school calendar with a flexible schedule built around school day norms. The contract runs from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $43.67 to $47.82 per hour, dependent on experience and final determination during the interview process.
