Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Virginia state licensure in Occupational Therapy
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Comfortable providing in-person, home health, or teletherapy services
- Proficiency in supporting both fine and gross motor development
- Effective communication abilities for teamwork with staff and families
- Dedication to enhancing the lives of pediatric students and promoting functional independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify needs
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans and IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in a school-based setting
- Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and a multidisciplinary team
- Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing recommendations for student support
