In this position, you’ll conduct evaluations only—enabling you to make a meaningful impact and help set students on the path to success without a high caseload or ongoing management. Your expertise will shape students’ educational access and participation, working collaboratively with school teams in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Colorado OT license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Recent experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
- Strong knowledge of evaluation methods, tools, and report writing for children ages 5–12
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with professionalism and reliability
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for elementary-aged students as requested by school staff
- Utilize standardized and observational assessment tools to identify needs and strengths
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary team members to gather information and share findings
- Complete timely, detailed documentation of assessment results and recommendations in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Promote best practices and culturally responsive care during all aspects of the evaluation process
This contract position offers a pay range of $48–$62 per hour, determined by experience, allowing you to leverage your skills while maintaining flexibility. The focus on evaluations only creates a unique opportunity for OTs who prefer an assessment-centered role with limited ongoing caseload commitments.
