Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and functional assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting daily living and academic skills
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure coordinated support
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing input into goal-setting and progress tracking
- Address fine motor, sensory processing, and functional independence skills in the school setting
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Virginia OT license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- NBCOT certification (required)
- School-based experience is highly valued, though enthusiastic new graduates are welcomed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
