What You’ll Do:
- Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to students’ IEPs
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs through formal and informal tools
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to help students achieve their goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special educators, parents, and other school professionals to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in adherence to state and district guidelines
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and help shape therapy-related objectives
- Address fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skill development to enhance students’ daily living and academic participation
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Hold (or qualify for) an active Virginia OT license
- Current NBCOT certification
- Prior school-based therapy experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities
Position Details:
- Full-time, contract position: 37.5 hours per week
- Aligned with the school calendar, including observance of school holidays and breaks
