An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to serve in a contract position within a supportive school environment near Lynnwood, WA. This part-time role starts on September 3, 2027, and runs through January 3, 2027, focusing on providing specialized OT services to a middle school caseload of approximately 40 students. With an anticipated schedule of three days a week and 21 hours per week, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ growth and daily school participation.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Active ESA Certificate
- Valid Washington DOH Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience working in a school setting with adolescents is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities to manage a varied caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to each student’s IEP goals and needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress for assigned students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for accommodations and strategies
- Adapt therapy approaches as needed for individual and group settings
