In this pivotal position, you’ll play an important part in fostering growth and functional independence for students, while primarily overseeing and supporting a team of COTAs. You’ll utilize your clinical and interpersonal skills to help guide therapy interventions, evaluate student progress, and collaborate closely with general and special education staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license/certification in Georgia (OT in GA)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Effective communicator and collaborator
Role Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students K-12
- Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
- Maintain documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Work with teachers, families, and staff to support student achievement and inclusion
