Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and design individualized treatment plans for students across the district
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within school and home health settings as needed
- Support students’ functional, behavioral, and academic growth in collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation and provide regular progress updates for IEP meetings and student records
- Adapt therapy activities to accommodate various age groups, needs, and learning environments
- Travel between multiple schools as part of a district-wide support team
- Participate in school-based meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Current, active NJ Occupational Therapist license
- NJ Department of Education certification
- Demonstrated experience working within schools and/or pediatric therapy settings
- Strong background in both clinical and school-based OT services
- Ability to navigate the needs of students across varied grade levels
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with standard NJ credentialing and onboarding processes (including fingerprinting)
This contract position begins as soon as possible and is set through January 2027, with the possibility of extension. Enjoy a dynamic schedule—Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:50 am to 3:40 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 2:20 pm—while making a difference for students across the full district.
