In this essential role, you will help students develop the skills they need to succeed in their educational journey, with full-time positions available at two sites on the southern end of the county. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through June 17, 2027, providing you the chance to make a lasting impact throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license issued in Maryland (MD)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and modify approaches as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional and educational needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and strategies to address sensory, fine motor, and functional skills
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to maximize student participation in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
