You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to create supportive, engaging learning environments that empower children to achieve their fullest potential.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Kentucky
- Previous experience delivering OT services within an educational setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and school-based documentation
- Ability to assess and address fine/gross motor, sensory, and self-care needs of school-aged children
- Skilled communicator able to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Organized, self-motivated, and flexible to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct and consultative services to address access, participation, and independence in school tasks
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for goals and accommodations
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services, progress, and outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support whole-child development and inclusive practices
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and families to promote carryover of strategies into daily routines
