This onsite role focuses on delivering expert care in a homebound setting near Morrisonville, NY for the 2026/2027 school year. You’ll make a significant impact by supporting a soon-to-be 6-year-old with multiple disabilities and varied medical needs, working closely with both the student’s family and a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of adapting OT interventions for children with complex medical needs
- Ability to work independently in a home environment and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with documenting progress and goals in line with IEP requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized OT services in the student's home three times per week, with each session lasting 45 minutes
- Assess and implement therapy plans addressing fine motor, sensory integration, and self-care skills to promote the student’s learning and participation
- Frequently communicate with family members and caregivers to support consistency of interventions
- Actively participate in virtual team meetings with other providers every five weeks, sharing insights and updates
- Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress, and collaborative plans in compliance with school and legal standards
