Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous school-based OT experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to assess and implement individualized therapy plans for K-12 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional needs
- Develop and deliver tailored intervention plans to promote independence and participation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and allied professionals to integrate therapy into the classroom
- Prepare IEP documentation, progress reports, and maintain accurate records
- Provide training and support to teachers and families regarding student needs
- Offer guidance on adaptive equipment and strategies to enhance student access to curriculum
