Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational setting near Naperville, IL. This onsite position runs through 5/28/27 and offers the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of 30 students, collaborating with educators and families to support their growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- Positive, flexible attitude and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Participate in student evaluations and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Adapt therapy plans as needed to ensure student access and participation
- Educate school staff and families regarding strategies for student success
